Realities
Self-immersion
Realities is one of the pieces developed so far in the search of artistic strategies to immerse on the self. it reflects about intergenerational trauma and intends to create a visual version about an audience that is spreading itself on an environment.
Healing is one of the most common topics when talking about conviviality and community, knowing that aware human beings that have overcome difficult situations are supposed to be more rational when it comes to self care and care of others. On the other hand, not only damaged beings but those who have not noticed there are a sort of aspects they need to heal from usually go through different situations spreading what they do not know they have: damage.
Knowing that there is a part of our individual reality that is influenced by the experiences we live, This piece is intending to reflect about the need of reinterpretation of those with healing purposes.
Realities is an interactive installation that creates visuals out of the interaction and movements of the audience. A sort of generative visual elements together with footage from some places in the nature in state of change are going to react and modify out of the movements of the audience showing that either as healed or damaged beings we are spreading ourselves in the environment we temporarily are.
Through a connection between the real and the digital, realities points out the border that exists between the inner and the outer self and the fact that damage is making it ticker.
As a damaged being living in a damaged planet I am tired of spread damage because is not creating anything else than that. This piece was develop in the search of becoming a better version of myself and to invite others to reflect about it.
