The dome teleporter is a sound installation presented as a prototype of a futuristic teleporting machine. It was developed as speculative project for a coming future. It is consider to be a machine that teleports people in real time to remote places through sound. 

This project was developed having different pieces that define the idea: First, a prototype of  a small version of the machine considering mainly how sound outputs can be installed in a place. Second, A sound system that sends different sounds through individual audio channels creating the third piece: a live composition out of audio resources from a place combined with electroacoustic sounds.

5 speakers, 1 subwoofer, an external usb sound card 7.1 were placed together with a computer. Using reaper, it was possible to configure individual and connected audio channels. That allowed the dome tele-porter to manage the sound through layers and send different sound around the installation creating a surrounded and immersive experience. Birds, insects, sounds of water resources, wind, animals and people walking, barks from dogs and some leaves were recorded on the park using a hand recorder Zoom h5 with two interchangeable microphones.

Those times when the homesick shows up or it is not possible to handle the reality anymore, it is wished to be able to teleport and escape, not forever but at least for a little while. Where ? Better where our friends and relatives are, when not possible, then to a remote place, one that bring us peace.
