While getting in touch with “Data from the bodies” and how through technology and different techniques it is possible to obtain different kinds of information of it, we had an interesting trip on some art and science projects,  most of them have a goal in common: “reconstructing  the body”. In the era of digitalisation, reconstructing the body on virtual environments have had impacts on different areas in the society.

• We can be virtually present on different places at the same time
• A virtual version of ourselves have allowed us to interact on different environments 
• The quality of live improves by understanding wha tis going on with the body.

The wearable movement tracker is intending to analyse and study one single property of the body, the one that has so much to tell about health status, mental condition and emotional state: Movement.

Movement is what allow us to be aware of the body we have. 

Movement is what allow us to interact, through movement we explore and we express ourselves by moving us differently depending on what we are doing.

Movement is also related to expressiveness and communication. Movement has much to tell about what is the mood of a body and how a person is feeling emotionally.

The WMT is a device that creates a virtual representation of a body by deconstructing its common shape and generating a digital version of it that allow us to speculate about:

• Personality traits of bodies.
• Recognise patterns related to the mood and emotional state.
• Determine expressiveness. 

How does it work ? 

• You can easily attached it to the hand and turn it on. 
• The only thing you have to do while using the WMT is: to move 
• While user is moving, the WMT will send signals to the computer that will be interpreted by the computer. 
• The computer will be running an app where visual effects will be displayed depending on the information sent by the WMT.
